About Me --

OK -- about me -- I'm a grandmother of three girls and the mother of five adopted children -- 3 boys and 2 girls. Also, I'm still the wife of my hubby (32 years).

I love to knit, cross-stitch and crochet. I'm always reading and learning new things. And of course there is my love for all things to do with babies, especially my family :-) I was a foster parent for 4 years, which was a great experience.

I love animals and anything to do with computers.

I live with my husband, Dale, just outside Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada on 4-acres. He works for the Catholic School Board as a Network Administrator, but he got really ill last February, and he isn't back to work yet. He loves woodworking, computers, and genealogy (family history).

My mother passed away on October 28th, 2004 and the grief is sometimes overwhelming -- but if I keep busy, I tend to have less melt downs.

Why This Website?

I've been thinking for days about this Perfect Baby Names website and its purpose for others and for me. Why did I choose this topic and where will it lead me in helping others get through life a little happier?

Names --
I chose the topic of "baby names" because so many people on the internet are looking for the keyword "baby names". So, I decided that because I love babies, and I know about baby names, and I've experienced such a lot of things with babies and children ... I'd start with a "baby names" site and go from there. Names are the first things you need!

Necessities --
I also know what is necessary for babies and kids -- what parents should teach them, how to encourage them, how to teach them to live with their disabilities.

Nicety's --
I also know what's nice and fun for babies and kids. All these cool things that are available for babies now are marvelous.

But that's not all!

Because of my family ...

We adopted five children and it was ... errr ... well, it was stressful and ... errr ... interesting. After dealing with FAS, ADHD, all kinds of anxiety disorders, depression and previous abuse, I have to say it was very, very interesting. We now have three grandchildren, all girls, Tamika Rose Bonella (10), Katelyn Kaye Moore (2), and Madison Olivia Moore (born Aug. 14/04)

Animals

We have two cats, and one dog. Because the cats live outside, the cat population goes up and down, although Slippers is always here. She's female and has had over 30 kittens. For obvious reasons we had her spayed last year ... the poor thing was always pregnant.

This summer a beautiful male tabby cat was dropped off out here. So he's now our "Tomee" -- French for Tommy. He's so friendly. That's why we know he had a human home before he came here -- he's not wild.

Our dog, Sasha, lives inside with us. She's 8 years old and is part long-haired Chihuahua and part terrier. She's a sweetie. Sasha's picture Here's her picture. She got her eye bit out by a big dog, so now she is blind in the right eye (the vet put her eye back in!).

She also "poofed" out an open car window and broke her pelvis when she was only one-year old. Now she has arthritis there. She's a wonderful companion to me, and we try really hard not to hurt her anymore!
